Western Dance, Hip-Hop, Salsa & Ballet

Mr. Leo Talstoy from Leos Dance Academy started his dance career at the age of seven and has undergone extensive training on professional dance styles. Established a foundation in creative jazz dancing. Specialized in jazz /ballet. Hip-hop, modern contemporary and entertainment events. Leo has perfomed for more than 600 stage performances, has done shows for AMEX, CTS, CALSOFT, C – square, Info vision and the list goes on. He is currently tied up with event management companies to conduct their various themed events for corporates and educational institutes. Choreographed for schools/colleges and major events - Saarang, SHOCK, and many more.

Leo is a favourite with children for his amicable nature and comfortably cool attitude. He is also a college favourite for choreogrphaing their events and performances.

Bharathanatyam

Smt Mala Subramanian is a dancer par excellence, teacher and choreographer. Earlier known as Kumari Mala Ramji, she started learning under the traditional nattuvanar par excellence Guru Kalaimamani Indra Rajan. She had her arangetram in 1992, presided by veteran Smt Vyjayanthimala Bali.

Mala is a ‘B’ grade artist of Doordarshan and has performed widely in leading Sabhas of Chennai and in various other noteworthy venues including the Raj Bhavan. She was one among the young dancers selected by the Tamilnadu Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram, in the scheme for promoting upcoming dancers. she has performed in multiple events such as The Chidambaram Natyanjali Festival, Thendral Tiruvizha organised by Directorate of Art and Culture, Velichcham by Tamilnadu Government, programmes of South Zone Cultural Centre, Interstate cultural Exchange program of Sangeet Nataka Academy, Pongal Festival of Tanjavur Tamil University, Spirit of Unity concerts of Bharat Cultural Committee to name a few. She has also toured to countries like Canada, Singapore, Sri Lanka as a performer and also performed in World Hindu Conference. She has been associated in the capacity of lead dancer in ‘Naadha-laya-bharatam’ with veteran Padmasri Haridwaramangalam Sri A K Palanivel, who has appreciated her laya skills.

At present she has come under the able guidance of Smt Lakshmi Ramaswamy in her institution Sri Mudhraalaya, where she acts as a faculty and trainer. Mala has also taken up to teaching and has trained many students. She has accompanied them in ‘nattuvangam’ for their solo and group performances. She has presented their performances for many groups of foreign delegates who have visited to get exposed to the arts and culture of South India
